Anti-reflection Coatings (AR Coating)
Anti-reflection coatings can reduce the reflection "R" of the surface to produces one or two effects: If the material below the surface is opaque, the radiant absorption increases; or if the material is transparent, its overall transmittance is enhanced.
The most commonly used antireflection coatings can be divided into single-layer AR coating and multi-layer AR coating according to the number of layer structures; According to the functional type, it can be divided into single-point AR coating, broadband antireflection (BBAR) coating, two-point/dual-band antireflection coating, etc.; According to the scope of application, it can be divided into ultraviolet antireflection coating, visible light antireflection coating, infrared antireflection coating; According to the type of laser application, it can be divided into laser damage resistant anti-reflection coating and non-laser damage anti-reflection coating.
