Sapphire Rods

     The precision sapphire rod is used in a wide range of applications. It can be made with all surfaces polished for optical and wear applications or with all surfaces fine grind (un-polished) to serve as an insulator. Sapphire Rods are available in a range of outer diameter and lengths. OD’s as small as 0.3mm. Generally, c-cut sapphire rods with the minimized birefringence and good mechanical properties for continuum generation. In addition, R-cut or random orientation are also available. These sapphire rods are often used in pumps ( piston / plunger rod of HPLC ), lamps, gaskets, insulators, wear applications and so on.

    Creator Optics can provide various customized all-surfaces-polished sapphire rods and fine ground sapphire rods. The main types are cylindrical rods, sapphire tapered rods and sapphire tips / sapphire needles. In additional, we can make micro sapphire rods with a minimum size of 0.3mm.

    Creator Optics ( CNCO ) can provides various customized all-surface-polished sapphire rods. These rods have good polished round surface as well as general two plane high-precision polished surfaces.
